Hi, I installed the NetNewsWire reader as well. At first it seemed ok. But then as I renamed things on the Newsgator site it got messed up in the syncing and deleted the feed from the iPhone.

The Free RSS Reader allows you to rename the feed and the sort order right within the iPhone app, you don't have to go anywhere else. Also, if you like the newsgator feature, you can set that up in the FreeRSS Reader as well (under settings).

I'll play with both but right now I'm leaning towards Free RSS Reader.

BTW: when it says to reboot, it just means to power cycle the phone. Also, I read some stuff that says anytime you use a graphics intensive app (such as Penguin or Zippo, etc. ) that you should power cycle to get back more memory, etc.

I like NetNewsWire (using the free version).

I was able to go to newsgator.com online, and subscribe to your feeds, rename their default names, add other feeds, etc. Once done, I go into my NetNewsWire app on my iphone and it automatically sync'd with all my changes.

Just a fyi in case the other doesn't do this.

Hi Jim from Frank
I looked at the RSS reader you recommended, and was a little put off by their recommendation to reboot your iphone after the install. Firstly, I don't know how to do that!

So I checked a few more in the APP store, and found one called NetNewsWire, that had a higher star rating. It also syncs with NewsGator.

Maybe we can compare notes!

I downloaded NetNewsWire, which requires a free account at a website called newsgator.com. That alone was interesting, since it comes with 5 preset feeds from MacWorld, etc, with reviews of interest to users of Firefox, Twitter, iphone, etc.
